Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 directed by Anubhav Sinha has managed to impress the audience and critics alike. Yes, the film has only shown a positive growth at the box office and while it opened with impressive figures, on its second day also the film did great business. On its day 2, Saturday (June 29) the film earned Rs 7.25 crores. While the film released on Friday, June 28, it earned Rs 5.02 crores on day 1.
Now that the film has shown growth, a trade analyst predicts on social media that the India v/s England match at the 2019 cricket world cup might act as a speed breaker for Article 15. Yes, with a total collection of Rs 12.27 crores, the match might have an effect on the footfalls for this film. Though the film is doing quite well at urban centres, we don’t see it getting affected by anything. However, we can only wait for the day 3 figures to come in, to find out if so was the case. Ayushmann’s film is based on Article 15 of the Indian constitution that talks about discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, sex, etc. Ayushmann plays a police officer in the film who is investigating the murder case of two girls.
