Avengers: Endgame is one of the most awaited films of the decade. After generating an unprecedented amount of buzz, the movie finally hit the screens today (April 26) in India. And it took an earth-shattering start registering 85 per cent occupancy across India in the morning shows, according to our trade sources. In fact, in metros and key cities, it was about 90 – 95 per cent. While this is huge and the best start any film got in 2019, it could not beat the record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion!

Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 had recorded the highest opening occupancy ever with a record of 95 per cent across 8000 plus screens in India. Avengers: Endgame, on the other hand, has recorded 85 per cent in 2500 plus screens across India in the morning shows. Thereby the Marvel superhero film has bagged the second spot, ahead of Thugs of Hindostan that registered 80 per cent opening occupancy across 4000 plus screens.
