Prabhas and Rana Daggubati’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was a Telugu film dubbed in Hindi, but it became the highest grosser of all time in India. The hype around the film courtesy the super success of its prequel, Baahubali: The Beginning and the fact that everyone wanted to know the answer to the question of the decade – ‘Why did Kattapa kill Baahubali?’, made everyone flock to the theatres to watch the film, thus enabling SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus to rake in a huge amount and become the first Indian film to earn in excess of Rs 500 crore through its Hindi version.
Lifetime box office collection: Rs 387.38 crore
Aamir Khan’s inspirational sports drama of a real-life wrestler and his daughters – who go on to become India’s first world-class female wrestlers – won everyone’s hearts. Lifetime box office collection: Rs 340.80 crore
Aamir Khan’s PK was the first film to enter the coveted Rs 300 crore club and it was all because of the actor’s class act, the novel storyline revolving around an alien and his trysts with the cultural dogmas in India along with a really good screenplay that enabled the film to earn such a huge amount of money when it released in 2014.

# Krrish 3

Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 showed minimum growth over the second weekend at the box office
Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 was one of the most-exciting releases of the year. However, it failed to take off at the box office. The movie had a decent first week and everyone expected it to show some upward trend in its second weekend at the box office. However, SOTY 2 had a lackluster second weekend. Student of the Year 2 earned Rs 1.62 crore on day 8 (Friday), Rs 2.25 crore on day 9 (Saturday) and Rs 2.75 crore on day 10 (Sunday). With that, SOTY 2 took its collection to Rs 64.52 crore at the domestic box office. With De De Pyaar De, John Wick 3 continuing their run at the box office, we expected Student of the Year 2‘s second week to be low. Meanwhile, what did you think of the movie?
