Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif’s Bharat was one of the most-anticipated films of the year. And when it released on June 5, the film took over the box office. It broke records left, right and center, becoming Bollywood’s highest opener and opening weekend grosser of 2019. However, even before a month comes to an end, Bharat is slowing down! In fact, Salman Khan’s film run is nearing its end. Why? Well, because of Kabir Singh! Shahid Kapoor – Kiara Advani’s film has taken the box office by storm and refusing to slow down even on weekdays. With Kabir Singh holding majority of theatres and Ayushmann Khurrana’s hard-hitting film – Article 15 coming out with a couple of other releases, Bharat’s screen space has been hit.
While Bharat will get a few shows across India, it is bare minimum. In 23 days, Bharat has managed to rake in Rs 215 crore and we feel it will run for another week. At the one month mark, it will end its run, with approximately Rs 220 crore in its kitty from the domestic box office. This is a fantastic achievement for sure! But what’s even more exciting is Kabir Singh! The movie is unstoppable. It has earned Rs 120 crore in just 6 days. In the weekdays as well, it has been performing extremely well. Even Bharat was no match on the weekdays. We feel Kabir Singh will also earn Rs 200 crore in its lifetime run, but we’ll have to wait and watch!
