Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif’s Bharat has set the box office on fire ever since it released on June 5 (Wednesday). The movie has broken several records and on day 5 it achieved yet another feat. Bharat crossed the Rs 150 crore mark on Sunday, thereby ending the first weekend on a high. However, we must say that day 5 was affected by India’s World Cup 2019 match against Australia.

For those of you who don’t know, Bharat took a flying start with a Rs 42.30 crore opening at the box office. On day 2 (Thursday) and day 3 (Friday), the movie dipped, collecting Rs 31 crore and 22.20 crore respectively. On day 4 (Saturday), it took a leap, raking in Rs 26.70 crore. With day 5 being Sunday, everyone expected it to see a massive leap. But with India playing Australia at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the audience was divided. Especially with the match being played from 3 pm to 12 am, the major evening show madness was hit. And with that, Bharat could earn only Rs 27.90 crore at the box office on day 5. This took its total tally to Rs 150.10 crore. Though this is fantastic, it could have been a lot higher!

Obviously with the weekdays kicking in, day 6 will see a major drop. And with India continuing its ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign, we will see Bharat face more dents in its box office run. But we still feel Bharat has the possibility of earning Rs 200 – 250 crore at the box office in its lifetime run. What do you have to say? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below!
