It’s been only a weekend since Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Jio Studios released Zara Hatke Zara Bachke in theatres, but the movie is already surprising everyone! This family entertainer which marks Laxman Utekar’s third successful film with Maddock Films production after Luka Chupi and Mimi, has been filling up theatres to a house-full limit and is being relished by all, especially the family audiences. With the first-time pairing of Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, the movie reels around the ambit of romance and drama, involving a comedy of errors that unfolds. A divorce plan does not pan out as per arrangement and thus begins a journey of drama filled with elements of humour.
This movie has been touching the right chord with audiences where the opening weekend saw a net box office collection totalling up to 22.59 cr with a 31.15% jump on the first day, followed by 37.50% jump on the next. Commenting on this extraordinary response, trade expert Taran Adarsh says, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke brings in much needed respite to exhibitors with its weekend collections totalling up to 22.59 cr. While the movie dint have many expectations, the collections definitely silenced everyone. The vacation months are usually important for theatres and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke have been noting a full house and these boards feature a great sign, overall for the film industry. Marketing tactics only work when the film really has substance and therefore the ‘buy one get one’ tactic worked like a charm for this family entertainer.”
