Box Office Collection Prediction: Luka Chuppi to earn Rs 5.25 crore, while Sonchiriya will nett Rs 1.50 crore on day 1

After Total Dhaamal, two decent movies – Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya are all set to release on March 1. Both the movies are unconventional in their own sense. And with the two of them releasing on the same day, we are sure a huge box office clash is in the making. In fact, with Total Dhamaal and Gully Boy continuing their box office runs, we expect Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya to get limited number of screens. But that would have happened even if they had free releases as both the films are not so massy! Anyway, coming back to the box office, everyone is eager to know how much either of them will collect at the ticket window?

According to Super Cinema, it is going to be quite vast gap between the two films. But don’t expect huge number because of the nature of the films. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, Luka Chuppi is a story of a small town couple. How they pose as a fake married couple, while actually being in a live-in relationship forms the backdrop of the story. Being a modern day romantic comedy, we are sure it will appeal to the multiplex and single screen audience. But still, it will manage to rake in only Rs 5.25 crore at the box office on day 1, according to Super Cinema’s tracking.

Talking about Sonchiriya, it is a real life action drama. Revolving around the life of the dacoits of Chambal in the 70s, this one stars Bhumi Pednekar and Sushant Singh Rajput. With a niche and flavourful plot, we are sure the movie will connect with the Hindi speaking belt and the single screen audience.
