Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India, Arshad Warsi’s Fraud Saiyaan and Govinda’s Rangeela Raja were the major films that hit the screens this week. While all of them had low buzz before release, Why Cheat India was a film that we were looking forward to watch! And though it got decent reviews, the film has taken off on a very average note. On the other hand, Fraud Saiyaan and Rangeela Raja have got poor reviews. Apart from that, they have washed out at the box office too! It is not us, but the trade that is giving us this information. In fact, they mention to us that Uri: The Surgical Strike will steal the show and rule the box office in its second weekend.

Talking about this week’s releases, exhibitor and distributor – Akshaye Rathi mentioned to Cine Blitz exclusively, “Why Cheat India is the pick of the lot. It has taken an average opening, recording only 10 – 15 per cent occupancy in the morning shows. Fraud Saiyaan and Rangeela Raja had occupancies below 5 per cent. Uri: The Surgical Strike, on the other hand, is performing better and will continue its reign at the box office.” What do you guys have to say about this revelation? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below!

Looking at the occupancies, we guess Why Cheat India will rake in Rs 2 – 3 crore on day one. On the other hand, Fraud Saiyaan and Rangeela Raja might collect less than Rs 1 crore at the box office. All three films need to buckle up for the weekend and need to see decent spikes to survive. In the meantime, stay tuned to Cine Blitz as we get you all the box office collection updates of Why Cheat India, Fraud Saiyaan, Rangeela Raja right here.
