Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De has had a decent run at the box office. In fact, after a fairly good second weekend, the movie has held its ground at the box office. On day 11 (second Monday), De De Pyaar De saw a slight dip but still raked in Rs 2.73 crore. On day 12 too, the movie stayed rock steady as it raked in Rs 2.37 crore. And with that, De De Pyaar De crossed the Rs 80 crore mark at the box office.
Yes, Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De now has Rs 80.19 crore in its kitty. In fact, even with films like India’s Most Wanted, Aladdin and PM Narendra Modi releasing, the movie has held its ground. It has even outperformed a couple of the new releases, which is fabulous. All this has been because of the mass appeal and interesting story as well as execution of De De Pyaar De. Obviously, the fact that it was a rather multiplex film and the story didn’t resonate as much with the masses, got it mixed reviews. And hence, the word-of-mouth publicity was also low. If that wouldn’t have been the case, then the movie would have easily crossed the Rs 100 crore mark by now.
Directed by Akiv Ali, De De Pyaar De was produced by Luv Ranjan along with T-Series. What do you think about the movie and its run at the box office? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below! Also stay tuned to CineBlitz for more Bollywood news, updates and gossip right here.
