De De Pyaar De box office collection prediction: Ajay Devgn’s film will earn Rs 12 crore on day 1

Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De is one of the exciting films this year. And while the buzz is decent, looks like it will have a good run at the box office. Well, not us, but our trade expert – Akshaye Rathi (distributor and exhibitor) predicts so! In fact, while giving us the reasons as to why De De Pyaar De will work, he even predicts its opening. According to early estimates, Ajay Devgn will rake in Rs 12 crore on day 1 (Friday, May 17) at the box office. It should rake in Rs 3 – 5 crore through the paid previews (Thursday, May 16) too. So by the end of day 1, De De Pyaar De might earn Rs 15 crore plus at the box office.

Talking about the buzz, Akshaye Rathi tells us exclusively, “It is looking very good. Luv Ranjan is one guy who really understands movies and the taste of the audience very well. He is the writer and producer of the film, so he is directly at the helm of all the affairs. That surely means the film will be kick-ass. Besides all this, it has got Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet, which is an interesting combination on the big screen, that too in a romantic-comedy. So, De De Pyaar De‘s prospects are very good. It should open to Rs 10 – 11 crore on day 1 at the domestic box office.”
