Even though Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s film Kabir Singh have had some brickbats to deal with, the actor’s family has been quite supportive in defending the film. Yes, the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy got a mixed response, but the positive feedback seems to have outweighed the negative one and the film’s business shows. The film that released nine days back on June 21, has already crossed the 150 crore mark and so far its lifetime collection stands at Rs 163.73 crores in India.

Yes, even in its second week, Kabir Singh is making big moolah, on Friday (June 28) the film earned Rs 12.21 crores, while yesterday (Saturday, June 30) the movie went on to earn Rs 17.10 crores. Now with its lifetime collection so far, a trade analyst has pointed out on social media that Shahid Kapoor’s film has surpassed the lifetime business of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari and Ajay Devgn’s Total Dhamaal. In fact, the trade analyst also said that film is faring better than Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmaavat, in its second week.

Well, we must say that it’s some big celebration time for Shahid, Kiara as well as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. And even though some might call the film violent and misogynistic, others continue to love Shahid’s performance. The trade analyst also predicts that Kabir Singh will take a feat and cross the 175 crore mark today (June 30). Let us wait and watch what happens, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
