Varun Dhawan’s Kalank is one of his biggest films. It hit the screens yesterday (April 17) and instantly set the cash registers ringing. The movie raked in a massive Rs 21.60 crore at the box office on day 1. Huge, isn’t it? Well, with that, it became the highest opener of 2019 and Alia Bhatt’s highest opener till date. But that’s not it! Kalank is now also Varun Dhawan’s biggest box office opener till date. Don’t believe us? Kalank (Rs 21.60 crore) beat Dilwale (Rs 21 crore) to become Varun Dhawan’s highest opener till now. Judwaa 2 (Rs 16.10 crore), ABCD 2 (Rs 14.30 crore) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Rs 12.25 crore) complete his list of top 5 biggest box office openers till date. Produced by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Kalank is presented by Fox Star Studios. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman and it has been getting a lot of rave reviews. The critics as well as the audience has liked the movie and hence, it enabled Kalank to earn a massive amount on day 1 at the box office.
