Kalank box office collection: Varun Dhawan’s period drama becomes his biggest opener

Varun Dhawan’s Kalank is one of his biggest films. It hit the screens yesterday (April 17) and instantly set the cash registers ringing. The movie raked in a massive Rs 21.60 crore at the box office on day 1. Huge, isn’t it? Well, with that, it became the highest opener of 2019 and Alia Bhatt’s highest opener till date. But that’s not it! Kalank is now also Varun Dhawan’s biggest box office opener till date. Don’t believe us? Kalank (Rs 21.60 crore) beat Dilwale (Rs 21 crore) to become Varun Dhawan’s highest opener till now. Judwaa 2 (Rs 16.10 crore), ABCD 2 (Rs 14.30 crore) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Rs 12.25 crore) complete his list of top 5 biggest box office openers till date.
