Romeo Akbar Walter box office collection day 1: John Abraham’s film to rake in Rs 5 crore

John Abraham is back in an action-packed film and we couldn’t be more excited. Romeo Akbar Walter or R.A.W. has been one of the most awaited releases of this month. And looks like has it has started off on a decent note at the box office. As our trade expert – Akshaye Rathi (exhibitor and distributor) revealed to us exclusively, “The opening occupancy was around 20 per cent, which is decent, but not very great.” Though it started off slowly, it has grown since then! In fact, the afternoon and evening shows have performed well. And with a partial holiday (Gudi Padwa) tomorrow, we are sure R.A.W. will surely end the late night shows with a bang. But how much will it earn at the box office?

Akshaye Rathi predicts, “Romeo Akbar Walter got a fairly decent opening. And if the afternoon and evening shows are the trend to go by, then it should rake in Rs 4.50 – 5 crore on day 1, at least. If the late night shows swing the trend upwards, then it will be even more. Tomorrow is a holiday in Maharashtra (Gudi Padwa) and day after is Sunday, so it will surely help it swing upward and for the better.” With 1500 plus screens to its credit, we feel R.A.W might earn Rs 6 crore at the box office on day 1. But we will have to wait till tomorrow for the official figures to come in.

Also starring Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy, Sikander Kher and several others, Romeo Akbar Walter should rake in Rs 18 – 25 crore at the box office over the first weekend.
