Last week saw the release of John Abraham’s espionage thriller Romeo Akbar Walter, that opened to decent numbers on day one. The film which is based on an intel spy is getting a lighter response than the last couple of John’s films received. The film received a decent review from the critics but seems to have not clicked with a wider audience. Read on to know the Box-Office details of RAW over its first weekend.

RAW, tracing the journey of a spy, released when there is already a high dosage of patriotic films available in the theatres. The film opened to Rs 6 crores on the very first day, which was a decent opening. We had also predicted the same for the film and we were absolutely correct. The film took a flight on day two and earned a crore more than Friday, making Rs 7 crores on Saturday. On Sunday, the film managed to keep its gently upward pace and earned Rs 8.5 crores approximately. The compilation of the complete weekend makes it Rs 21 crore, which is reasonably good. The film has managed to fare decently in the first weekend at the Box- Office, but not as good as John’s last films. Compared to RAW, from his last two outings, Satyamev Jayate had done double the business. Satyamev Jayate earned approx Rs 36 crores in the first weekend, and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran , earned approx. Rs 21 crores in the first weekend.

Directed by Robbie Grewal, RAW stars John Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff, and Sikander Kher in major parts. While it has opened to average business let’s see what milestone it manages to achieve. For more updates and gossip about Bollywood, Stay tuned to CineBlitz.
