Student of the Year 2 box office collection day 5: Tiger, Ananya, Tara’s film struggles to reach the Rs 50 crore mark

Stude Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 has had a decent run at the box office. After a brilliant start, the movie had a good first weekend. But on day 4, first Monday, SOTY 2 saw a massive decline. On day 5 again, it struggled and saw a slight dip. In fact, Student of the Year 2 is struggling to cross the Rs 50 crore mark. Trade expected it to have achieved the feat by today, but it’s not happened. After raking in Rs 5.02 crore on day 5, the total box office tally of SOTY 2 stands at Rs 49.37 crore.

Student of the Year 2 had 2,500 screens at its disposal. Being the sequel to a hit film and with an interesting cast, a lot was expected from it. However, it got mixed reviews. The audience as well as the critics, were not unanimously impressed and this led to the movie’s sub-par run at the box office. What do you have to say about this development?
