Total Dhamaal box office collection day 4: Ajay Devgn’s movie stays strong; collects Rs 72.25 crore

Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal hit the screens on February 21 and since then it has set the box office on fire. Starring Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jafferi, the movie has stayed strong. In fact, after an impressive start, the movie continued to grow over the weekend. It ended up raking in Rs 62.40 crore in just 3 days. And on day 4, Total Dhamaal has passed the Monday litmus test with ease. Holding a majority of its audience, the movie collected Rs 9.85 crore on its first Monday. This took its overall box office tally to Rs 72.25 crore, which is fantastic to say the least.

Released in 3,400 plus screens, Total Dhamaal has benefited massively from the franchise factor. The phenomenal word-of-mouth publicity has also helped. People have loved the comic caper and have been raving about it on the road as well as on social media. From the performances to the comic punches and even the hilarious plot, social media is filled with praises for Total Dhamaal. In fact, Anil Kapoor – Madhuri Dixit’s jodi and Ajay Devgn’s swag has also got special mention. Such positive reviews have pushed the movie to earn a huge amount at the box office. And we expect it to continue raking in the moolah!

In fact, with Total Dhamaal being made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, we are sure it will earn a decent profit. It will enter the Rs 100 crore club pretty soon. But will it become the second movie of 2019 to earn Rs 200 crore plus at the domestic box office? Looks difficult. But that’s something we will have to wait and watch.
