Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam’s Uri: The Surgical Strike hit the screens yesterday (January 12) and it’s taken a flying start. Though the morning show occupancies very decent, the film saw a spike in the evening and late night shows courtesy the fantastic word-of-mouth publicity. This enabled Uri to collect Rs 8.20 crore at the domestic box office on day 1. Though this is not a huge number, considering the fact that it is January and the film was released in a limited screen-space, Uri: The Surgical Strike has opened very well at the ticket window.
From what we hear, the word-of-mouth publicity, as well as footfalls are getting stronger. People have been raving about the movie, its screenplay, the performances as well as the action sequences. So expect Uri: The Surgical Strike to see a decent growth over the weekend.
