After Gully Boy, Puma collaborates with rapper Brodha V aka Vignesh Shivanand for street wear

After Puma’s iconic Suede Gully campaign in 2017 with Divine, the global brand collaborates with rapper Vignesh Shivanand

Zoya Akhtar and Ranveer Singh’s smasher Gully Boy did a lot more than just taking the story from the streets to the screen. The street culture has now become mainstream, with street rap, street art and hip hop reaching a new wider audience. Another brand that has been showcasing the desi gully swag in their marketing campaigns is Puma. Global sports brand PUMA is yet again ready to explore India’s underground hip-hop culture by roping in popular names, in the latest partnership with Indian rapper, lyricist, hip-hop artist and music producer Brodha V, also known as Vighnesh Shivanand. A unique and authentic figure in India’s hip-hop scene, Brodha V, will be a leading face and voice of PUMA’s sports-style campaigns in India. PUMA has been a catalyst for the growth of hip-hop culture and community in India and through this association with Brodha V, the brand aims at further cementing its footprint in the space. The announcement was unveiled in true PUMA style by Brodha V and PUMA India on their respective Instagram handles earlier today.

The partnership with Brodha V further authenticates PUMA’s commitment to promoting the growth of India’s underground, but fast-surfacing street culture. Talking about the association, Brodha V said, “I am super stoked to be a part of the PUMA family. When partnering with a brand, it was very important for me to believe the association works in synergy with my personal ethos and sense of style, and PUMA proved to be a perfect fit. PUMA has been known for providing a platform for hip-hop culture in India, and the brand has been at the forefront in doing so. With this partnership, I look forward to doing some amazing work with the brand, and help elevate PUMA and my brand of music to the next level.”

PUMA’s iconic Suede Gully campaign in 2017, was a game changer that magnified the voice of today’s hustlers in Indian hip-hop. This campaign was a landmark platform that enabled unique artists to come together and express themselves. Suede Gully was a collaboration between Divine and his friends from all walks of street culture – rappers, dance crews, graffiti artists, visual artists and street-fashion gurus. Together, they created India’s biggest street collaboration across 4 cities and 4 languages. This collaboration spoke about the struggles that the street culture goes through.

Janhvi Kapoor’s peach kurta is the go-to outfit for a summery day

Janhvi Kapoor has been donning lot of kurtas lately but this one is our favourite, see pics

Published at

Janhvi Kapoor is busy shooting Gunjan Saxena’s biopic, named Kargil Girl. Recently, she was seen at the Mumbai airport returning from her shoot-schedule in Lucknow. Off late we have seen her wear a lot of kurta sets while travelling or otherwise and they are just perfect for this scorching Mumbai heat.

This time Kapoor wore a peach kurta featuring green and maroon polka dots with a chudidar and a floral print dupatta with lacy borders. This kurta was from Punit Balana, who is a regular designer for Janhvi. To complete her ethnic look, the Dhadak actress wore a pair of oxidised silver jhumkas and a pair of juttis from the same colour palette. As she was travelling, Janhvi opted for no make-up and a hint of lip gloss as she left her hair open.

This is a great look for a family get-together or just a day out. Let us know what you think about Janhvi’s polka dots on floral look in the comments section below and stay tuned to CineBlitz for latest fashion updates.

Here’s how Bollywood at Cannes 2019 inspired Macaroon Queen, Pooja Dhingra

Sonam K Ahuja, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hina Khan’s Cannes 2019 outfit inspired Pooja to do some creative baking, read on…

Pooja Dhingra the queen of macaroons as she introduced the desert in India, after learning the art of baking them in Paris. Her Café Le 15 patisserie is famous for all such desserts and cakes. She’s not just a pastry chef but also an author who has written a couple of books on baking.

Well with all this talent also comes creativity. After the Cannes Film Festival 2019, Pooja has gotten impressed by the looks of some Indian divas at Cannes and she created desserts with that. She has picked up some elements from each of their outfits and added them to some desserts. Let’s see how,

#Sonam K Ahuja in Ashi Studio: Pooja got inspired by the sunshine yellow and the flirty ruffles by creating lemon flavoured eclairs with it.

# Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Roberto Cavalli: This glamorous dress of Priyanka inspired Pooja to make an absolutely delicious looking Chocolate Crumble cake with lots of edible red glitter.

# Deepika Padukone in Peter Dundas: We all know that this huge bow was the highlight of Deepika’s dress and Pooja exactly caught that while making cupcakes using it.

# Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Leal Daccarett: Oh this white and red striped gown was literally put on eclairs with Candy Cane flavour.

# Hina Khan in Armine Ohanyan: Hina’s lilac dress was recreated by Pooja while making her signature macaroons! The lavender flavoured macaroons with silver detailing on it.

We felt like wearing these dresses after seeing them in Cannes but now we feel like eating them too. Let us know in the comments section below which one is your favourite dessert from above? Also, stay tuned to CineBlitz for latest updates on fashion and Bollywood.
