Alia Bhatt turns 26 today and to celebrate her birthday we bring to you 5 of her most outstanding fashion statements

Published at

She’s a versatile actor, an animal lover and a smart dresser, any guesses who we’re talking about? Yes, you’re right, we’re talking about Alia Bhatt. The Raazi actress has been giving outstanding performances since Highway. Apart from her remarkable onscreen presence, she’s also given us some major fashion goals with her off-screen appearances. Be it the red carpet or a promotional event, her style game is always on point! Her experimentation in terms of fashion has always resulted in the best of her looks!

The Kalank actress turns 26 today and we bring to you, Alia’s 5 fashion statements which make us want to dress like her more often.

# Alia in Zuhair Murad: Alia looked bewitchingly beautiful in this black gown embellished with sequins from Zuhair Murad for IIFA 2017. The plunging neckline of the gown and her subtle makeup earned some extra brownie points for her, we must say.

# Alia in a Manish Malhotra Saree: Alia wore this pink brocade saree from Manish Malhotra for a party at the Ambanis. She looked absolutely stunning as she completed the look with kaan baalis and her hair tied in a bun with a flower gajra. Totally makes us want to see her in traditional outfits more often, no?

# Alia Bhatt in a Manish Malhotra Lehenga: This blue and white number by Manish Malhotra is an unusual colour palette when it comes to traditional Indian attire. But Alia pulled off this look with such elegance. Those statement chaandbaalis and the small bindi highlighted her petite features perfectly!

# Alia Bhatt in Prabal Gurung: Ms Bhatt made everyone go green with envy in this lime green silk taffeta column gown she chose to wear in Berlin for the screening of Gully Boy. She brought out the true meaning of chic with the exaggerated sweeping train behind her as she finished the look with minimal makeup and a sleek ponytail.

# Alia Bhatt in Annakiki: For the promotions of Gully Boy, Alia took hip-hop to the next level with this cool sporty crop top and leather pants from Annakiki. We loved Alia’s Gully Boy promotion phase as she surprised us with some super cool new avatars, as she sported a lot of co-ords and athleisure.

We must say that Alia has a great sense of styling and she can pull off anything she wears, be it desi or videsi. Her style is highly relatable to any girl as it is very simple and sober, and yet so fashionable. She is not an over-the-top dresser and that’s what we adore about her. Let us know in the comments below, which one of the above looks by Alia Bhatt is your favourite? Stay tuned to CineBlitz to get the latest news from the world of Bollywood.

Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Aishwarya Rai: 5 worst dressed celebs of the week

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Sophie Choudry could not impress the fashion police with their sartorial choices

Published at

This week witnessed some of the most important events, one of which was the big fat Ambani wedding. Though the wedding was grand, the fashion witnessed at the event wasn’t ritzy enough and didn’t really please the fashion police. Let’s take a look at some of the mediocre fashion statements of the week.

# Kareena Kapoor Khan in Manish Malhotra: Kareena wore this sea blue chikankari lehenga by Manish Malhotra for the Ambani Wedding. This outfit just wasn’t Bebo enough. We are so used to a glamourous Bebo, that this outfit couldn’t meet our expectations. Don’t you agree?

# Kriti Sanon in Simply Simone: Kriti chose this outfit for the success party of Luka Chuppi. Despite its fringe and the embellishments, teamed with metallic ankle strap sandals, this look didn’t work its charm. We’re not sure if it was the hair or the shoes, but we felt that Kriti didn’t look her usual chic self in this one.

# Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Manish Malhotra: Lately, Aishwarya has been giving us some ‘not-at-all-up-to-the- mark’ looks. This lehenga looked extremely gaudy due to its colour palette. The accessories too weren’t styled well. After all the looks she’s given us in the past, this one was totally disappointing. We all know that Ash can do so much better, no?

# Madhuri Dixit Nene in Ridhi Mehra: Madhuri wore this blue saree teamed with a quirky, peplum jacket from Ridhi Mehra’s collection. Despite the tie-up frilly jacket, this look fell flat, and the dhak dhak girl just couldn’t make our hearts flutter.

# Sophie Choudry in Tisharth: Sophie Choudry has her phases, there are times when we go really gaga over her looks and then there are times like these. The peplum off-shoulder looked on point but the skirt with dual tones of tulle didn’t really work for her.

Let us know in the comments below, what do you think about these outfits. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for the latest fashion and Bollywood updates.

Our B-towners exactly know how to impress the shutterbugs as well as their fans on social media. The style-o-meter raised the bar resulting in the dominance of whites and reds. Let’s have a look at the ones who made heads turn.

# Deepika Padukone in Alberta Ferretti: Deepika unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds, London. She wore this cape and suit from Alberta Ferretti’s limited collection with diamond danglers. And boy, she looked extremely elegant and chic in this outfit.

# Alia Bhatt in Safiyaa: Alia wore a pink off-shouldered top and straight cut flared pants in scarlet red from Safiyaa. Very few can pull off this colour blocked combination of pink and read, and Alia succeeds. Simple, sober and stylish as always!

# Janhvi Kapoor in Alexander Terekhov: Janhvi seems to be following cousin sister Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s footsteps. We must say some of her looks are really trendy. Recently, she wore this silver off-shouldered bodycon dress with white and brown Louis Vuitton’s daddy sneakers.

# Sonakshi Sinha in Manish Malhotra: Sonakshi wore this sharara dress from Manish Malhotra for the teaser launch of Kalank and she looked ethereal in red. The jewellery was complementing the outfit very well. Indian wear always suits the actress very well.

# Rhea Kapoor in Benetton: Rhea Kapoor looked like a total boss lady in one of her recent outfit. She wore this white suit from United Colours of Benetton along with a green turtle neck. She styled the suit by cinching her waist by a black belt. Doesn’t she look chic?

This week’s best dressed have surely outdone the ones from the previous week. They have also set the bar high for next week. Let us know, which celeb from abov aced the fashion game? Comment in the section below.
