The past year was full of events, blockbuster movies and their promotions, parties and weddings, and celebrities have rocked their way through, with great style and fashion. Fashion is a part of our everyday lives and celebrities have always inspired us on the same. The perspective of fashion is changing, it’s no more only about dressing up, but about one’s personality and confidence. It’s no more stereotypical trend-following but also about comfort. Red-carpet looks have been associated with social issues. For instance, at BAFTA 2018, people wore black to support the Time’s Up movement. Let’s look at some of last year’s really stylish carry-offs…

# Sonam Kapoor Ahuja At Isha Ambani’s Wedding: Breaking the stereotype of fashion by making bold and unusual choices is what defines Sonam Kapoor Ahuja exactly. She is called a Fashionista because of these choices. And one of these was the hot pink lehenga by Anamika Khanna, which Sonam wore at Isha Ambani’s wedding. The lehenga was plain, with ‘Everything is AK-OK’ and ‘SONAM’ embroidered on it in navy blue. She accessorized this with oxidized silver jewellery from Amrapali Jewels. Strikingly different, we thought!

# Kangana Ranaut At The Cannes Film Festival: We all know that Kangana has a thing for sarees because she never fails to impress us in her desi avatar, be it at airports or on the red carpet. At Cannes, she wore a black sequinned saree ‘Aakash-tara’ with a pearl and emerald choker, both by Sabyasachi. She gave us a glimpse of the 1960s cinema reel.

# Deepika Padukone At Priyanka Chopra’s Wedding Reception: The recently wedded Deepika still carries that afterglow- different from all the luminosity of youth. At all events, from her own reception to several other weddings, she rocked all of them with versatile traditional looks. At Priyanka Chopra’s reception, Deepika donned a beautiful black and gold zardozi lehenga by Sabyasachi, leaving everyone gasping at the sheer beauty.

# Alia At The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards: Alia has always kept it subtle, sober, yet eye-catching when it comes to her fashion style, which makes her stand out from other actresses. She donned a bright pink and orange tulle gown by Gauri and Nainika for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The outfit totally complemented the exuberance of the event.

# Karan Johar At The Paris Fashion Week: We all know who pulls off all that Gucci has, with so much flamboyance in B-town. Only KJo. Karan Johar has immense love for fashion, and his styling tells you exactly how much. While at the Paris Fashion Week for Gucci, Karan flaunted only Gucci from head to toe.

# Varun Dhawan At The IIFA 2018: Varun Dhawan is ‘that-cool-dude-in-ripped-jeans’ kind of person when it comes to his styling. No doubt, he carries that off pretty well. At the IIFA 2018, he wore a long navy blue blazer and a white shirt beneath it, by Kunal Rawal. We were impressed at how good he cleans up!

# Kartik Aryan At The Lux Golden Awards 2018: Kartik Aryan is a basic kind of guy when it comes to fashion. He always dresses up in basics or monochromes but has never failed to pull it off well. At the Lux Golden Awards the last year-end, Kartik sported a smart suit from Boss and shoes from Tod’s. Under the blazer, he wore a black turtleneck inner, giving it a smart casual look. Very age appropriate!
