Wendell Rodricks praises Priyanka Chopra’s Met Gala outfit, while she continues to face backlash!

Met Gala 2019 was all about glam and drama this year too, just like every year. But the theme, CAMP: Fashion on Note, made it more interesting. We know that this is the most awaited evening of the year for celebs and fashion connoisseurs across the globe.

Popularly called the Met Gala Queen, Priyanka Chopra Jonas never forgets to add that quirk to her look and of course, pulls it off extremely well with confidence and oomph. This year, she was dressed in a custom-made Dior Haute Couture gown. The gown had colourful feather detailing with silver lining all over, and not to forget the extremely high slit which accentuated her sequinned pair of tights. The afro hairdo, loud makeup with silver kohl and the spooky crown were the show stealers. But after all this dressing-up, Priyanka didn’t really receive all good praises, and here’s what designer Wendell Rodricks has to say about it. “ I loved Priyanka’s gown and she was dressed in high-camp fashion from head to toe. Her crown was something which these drag-queens wear and even her make-up, the sequinned tights, everything was camp. Though people called her by 100s of names she and her stylist actually understood the theme and she carried it out very well.”
