A source tells us exclusively, “Aamir Khan plays a Sikh in Laal Singh Chaddha. During one portion of the movie, we will see Indira Gandhi’s assassination (1984) take place. This major political event changes the course of the film. The Anti-Sikh riots that followed Indira Gandhi’s assassination will be shown and how the riots affect his life and surroundings is pivotal to the movie.” Several reports did state that the Babri Masjid Demolition (1992) will also be featured in the movie. However, we can confirm that it is the Indira Gandhi assassination and the anti-Sikh riots, that followed, will only be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to go on floors by October and will feature Aamir in a Sardar look for the very first time in a movie.
