With the success of the film Raat Akeli Hai, Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP has once again proven his ability to spot talent and content creators. Be it actors or directors, Ronnie Screwvala has worked with several debutants who have become great content creators in the industry.
Raat Akeli Hai is a thriller starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte in the head and is directed by Honey Trehan. The film is receiving rave reviews ever since it released on OTT last week.
Honey Trehan made his directorial debut with Raat Akeli hai, and some other examples of directors making their debut with RSVP are Vasan Bala, director of the action comedy flick ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ and Aditya Dhar who made his directorial debut with the 2019 superhit ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’.
Ronnie’s earlier associations include Dibakar Banarjee who directed films like Khosla Ka Ghosla and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Rajkumar Gupta(Aamir), Neeraj Pandey(A Wednesday), Vikramaditya Motwane(Udaan) and Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari who made their debut with ‘Chillar Party’.
All the aforementioned directors made their debuts with Ronnie and RSVP and have gone on to make considerable contributions to the Indian film industry, thus proving that Ronnie Screwvala has an eye for spotting potential talents.
With all the appreciation flowing towards Raat Akeli Hai, the film adds to the list superhits that are produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
