“Binaiferr Kohli and Sanjay Kohli are not just producers, they are the pillars of our show”: Vaibhav Mathur

Vaibhav feels the set of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is something which he looks forward everyday.

Actor Vaibhav Mathur who is better known as Teeka Ram speaks about his experience of working in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Produced by Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli. Vaibhav who is from Jaipur, Rajasthan has a long association with Edit 2. He says,”I have first worked in FIR and after that Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai with Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli. They are not just producers, they are the main pillars of our show. They are warm and they treat the cast as their extended family.”

How has the role of Teeka Ram changed your career? “This role has given me so many things, but one thing which is beyond my expectations is the love from the audience. Wherever I have traveled before COVID I have received so much love which is priceless to me. People would just come, hug me and explain how much they like Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. I have also got a feedback from a parent, who share that their son used to come back home on time to watch the show along with them. As an actor I feel this is a great feedback – a show that unites a family.”

Vaibhav used be a theatre artist in Jaipur and also studied theatre from Rajasthan University. So whom did he consider his acting guru? “I can’t name anyone in particular, I have learnt from everyone who is my senior – I watch and learn from them. I salute everyone who is a senior artist.”

Vaibhav feels the set of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is something which he looks forward everyday. He adds “There is no monotony, the whole cast is so warm and everyday we are learning so much. I am always looking forward to go to the set. Obviously my equations with my co star actor Deepesh Bhan is special. He plays Malkhan and our jodi is working in the show for quite sometime now.”

Lastly Mathur adds,”As an actor when you don’t get to work that’s the biggest punishment. So I am happy to be back on the set. During lockdown we went to Gujarat to resume the shoot, and we have been taken care by our producers in the best way. And now we are back in Mumbai and shooting everyday with proper Covid guidelines.”
