The trailer-release event of this upcoming rom-com dramatic thriller movie ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ (‘ZHZB’) almost coincided with the birthday (the next day) of its macho hero Vicky Kaushal. The tantalizing trailer was screened for the media in the presence of dynamic producer Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films) after which a vibrant Q & A session followed peppered with quirky banter. Where Vicky was even quizzed on a lighter note, whether he would consider separating from his wife Katrina Kaif, if he ever found a ‘better actress-wife’ Which he gracefully responded with the positive assurance of ‘janmon-janam-tak-saath’ with his real-life star-actress-wife. Interestingly, the tagline that was jestfully displayed at the event was “Happily Divorced” implying the second post-marital latter phase where the warring couple Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal opt for legal separation. Which is also indicated in the engaging trailer, with its verbal battle which has elicited millions of views. Missing at the ‘Zara Hatke…..’ event was its brilliant director Laxman Utekar (of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Mimi’ fame) as there was a sad demise in his family.

Evident in the trailer of the family entertainer (ZHZB), among the major highlights is the recreated version of (Pancham) RD Burman’s chartbusting competition-medley-song ‘Tum Kya Jaano-Mohabbat Kya Hai’ from ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen’ (1977) movie.  Not just that, in the trailer one can also hear background instrumental vibes of yet another RDB romantic song ‘Dekho Maine Dekha Hai’ from ‘Love Story’ (1981).  What an amazing coincidence that it was R D Burman’s chartbusting music which had launched lead-actress Amrita Singh in her debut movie ‘Betaab’ (1983). After 40 years, yet again maverick genius RDB’s  kaafi hatke music is adding impact to ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ (2023) which has Amrita’s daughter Sara Ali Khan playing the female lead!

To mark the birthday (return-gift to his fans?) of ‘Zara Hatke..’ hero Vicky, the producers (Maddock Films and Jio Studios) have released the teaser of their first original song, which is a slow-paced yet peppy lyrical romantic track ‘Phir Aur Kya Chahiye’. Beautifully sung by Arijit Singh, the song features co-stars Sara and Vicky sharing some fond, mushy moments together.

Meanwhile, the popular rock star of ‘70s veteran actor Tariq Khan (also actor Aamir Khan’s cousin) speaking exclusively to Cine Blitz said he was “sentimentally overjoyed with nostalgia, that even after 46 years the mega-hit song ‘Tum Kya Jaano’ picturised on me, is still evergreen and resonates with today’s generation. Am extra delighted that it is picturized on current heart-throb Vicky Kaushal. Credit goes to the futuristic musical genius composer-singer R D Burman for his timeless tunes. My best wishes for their movie (ZHZB) success, “signed off Tariq Khan, who is now in his early seventies.
