Kundali Bhagya’s Shakti Arora

Zee TV’s popular show, Kundali Bhagya, has kept the audience on the edge of their seats over the past few months with several interesting twists and turns in Preeta’s  (Shraddha Arya)  life. Post the recent five-year leap in the show, the tale has turned on its head with Arjun (Shakti Arora) creating havoc in Preeta’s life and claiming to be Karan Luthra. Since the Luthras won’t recognize him as Karan, he believes that his new appearance will give him an advantage when he meets Rishabh (Manit Joura) and Preeta. In fact, it will be interesting to watch what happens when he reveals his identity and turns the Luthra’s life upside down!

While Shakti has impressed one and all as Arjun ever since he entered the show, an upcoming sequence will surely showcase his true range of acting and leave everyone in awe of his talent. While shooting for an emotional sequence, Arjun and Rakhi Maa (Anisha Hinduja) got so involved that both of them ended up in tears. In fact, Shakti who swears by the mantra of bringing a bit of realism to any role that he plays got really sentimental after this scene. They had to have tears in their eyes as a part of the sequence and while the team had glycerin on standby, the actors didn’t need it. In fact, Shakti reveals he has dwelled so much in the character that he hasn’t been using glycerin in the show and always channels his inner emotions to get the emotional scene right. However, this sequence was the whole conversation that got him really emotional and teary-eyed.

As Shakti Arora revealed, “I generally immerse myself completely into the character as well as the sequence so that I can give my best. In fact, it is very important for me to read the script before my shot as I need to plan exactly what I need to do and I need to think about channeling specific emotions to give the perfect take. In front of the camera, I put everything on the line and whenever I am shooting for such sequences, I never look at the monitor after performing the scene. I get a sense of how well I have performed and in case I am dissatisfied, I ask for another shot.”

He further added “While we were shooting for a recent emotional sequence, I truly felt the emotions of my character as well as what Rakhi Maa was going through and I started shedding tears. It was supposed to be an emotional scene, but we never thought that both of us would be so deeply affected by our character’s emotions and conversations, that we would actually cry. At one point, I also felt a strong feeling in my heart, that we both shared a completely unique bond as a mother and son in some parallel universe. The team had also kept glycerin on standby, however, I have stopped using glycerin for emotional sequences in this show as I am so much into the character and I try to channel my inner emotions to perform the sequence in the best way possible and that’s what happened. It was truly a special moment for us and I guess our bond has only grown offscreen after this heartwarming scene.”

While we are sure you cannot wait to watch Shakti and Anisha’s emotional scene, Arjun’s shocking revelation in front of the Luthra’s will surely leave you glued to your TV screen. How will Preeta deal with this new twist in her life?
