“Lockdown powered up my voice like never before all thanks to the 180 concerts I did back-to-back”, Manasi Scott tells JYOTHI VENKATESH via email in this exclusive interview for CINE BLITZ.

In what way have you collaborated with Metastar Media to redefine music in the virtual realm?

Metastar Media and I have collaborated to build my virtual world in the metaverse. Everything about Manasiverse is redefining my journey as an artist. I feel this is the ultimate platform for me to engage with my followers. The space itself inspires me to create more and give more to the fans. From them being able to know about my journey as an artist through interactive displays, to singing along with me in my karaoke studio, to watching concerts in the future in this virtual realm, everything I’m doing now is new and exciting.

What exactly is this groundbreaking virtual space all about? 

It has everything that I do and everything that I would want to share with my fans at one destination, much like an all-encompassing website except we’ve created a completely immersive & interactive space unlike anything I have seen before. For fans, it’s an experience as opposed to visiting a typical website. It’s like putting my world into a video game – a mix of entertainment & virtual reality! My 18-year-old son was wowed by it. That’s a good sign!

In what ways will you allow your fans and followers to engage and interact with you & your world on Manasiverse?

Firstly, they will get to see another side of me, beyond my identity as Manasi the singer / performer. They literally get to enter a virtual version of my real-life spaces. They will get access to exclusive content that I will be creating for this space. I’m also launching merchandise, some very cool NFTs and a signature fashion collection in collaboration with some amazing designers.  I get a lot of styling & fashion tips requests from fans for my unique sense of style, and I want to be able to give the fans my take on fashion & styling. I do a lot of work in sound healing & wellness which I will share as well!

As an artist, how do you think your interests and endeavours have evolved over the years and how have you reinvented yourself through your art?

I unlearn constantly and try new things all the time. Lockdown powered up my voice like never before all thanks to the 180 concerts I did back-to-back. I am writing more songs and doing ad-film music now and am a lot more confident in my art. I have learnt to sing for myself and love that and so I am more empowered on stage. I ride horses, bikes, drive long distances and take in the world as much as I can and then I bring that joy with me wherever I go.

You have been the only artist invited to perform at the high-profile Nick Jonas – Priyanka Chopra wedding. What do you have to say about this feat?

It remains one of the most memorable nights for me. Nick sang a few songs with me too and everyone danced for 4 hours non stop! I was also awarded The WOW Performer Of The Year for this.

Your followers will get a peek into not only your space but also new business ventures and have access to more products at Manasiverse? Could you elaborate? 

I am launching my own merchandise which I am personally designing. And I will be collaborating with fashion designers and creating exclusive Manasi Scott signature lines of fashion wear. We plan to launch singing tutorials as I keep getting requests from my fans. The space will also showcase my other pursuits, such as healing arts.

How and when do you plan to enter the big world of NFTs?

We will be launching a variety of NFTs – from collaborative multi-media art pieces to ownership of songs. The best part is fans do not have to use crypto currency to buy NFTs, the platform built by Metastar Media allows for NFT purchase with FIAT payments – UPI, netbanking, credit cards etc.
