Friendship means being at ease around someone who understands you well, says Meera Deosthale. The actor says that a true friend is always there for you, no matter what. “True friends never leave your side, they are always there to support and guide you. They will also tell you when you are wrong but then won’t let anyone hurt you. They are those who always protect you. That’s what friendship is to me,” says the actor, known for TV shows Udaan and Vidya. Meera does not have a lot of friends. “I have a very small circle. But then that small circle is really important to me and there’s not one person that can be left out because they all play different roles in my life. Whenever I have any kind of crisis, they are there,” she adds. But the one person who has been consistent in Meera’s life firstly is her brother Aditya Deosthale.
“He has been my friend since the day he was born and I have done all sorts of fun with him and have the fondest memories. Apart from that I have my childhood best friend Sanjana Udaar,” she shares, “We have been friends for 15 years now. She’s in Canada and every night we Facetime each other, though it’s not necessary that we talk but we have to see each other. Sometimes the phone is on and we are just doing our own things but that’s how it is, and that’s what our friendship is. We tell each other everything. She is really special to me,” she adds. But what about friends in Mumbai? “This person is not just my best friend, but more like a family to me. She is Vinny (Arora Dhoopar). I met her five years ago on the sets of ‘Udaan’. She and I talk every day. She has a little more experience in life than me. I think I am blessed to have her because there are times when I get stuck in life and she is always there to guide me and support me. I have these few people who are really important to me,” ends Meera.
