French hair and make-up artist Florian Hurel, who has styled the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan, says that the most important thing for any artist is to follow a method of working. The lack of a method can often lead to an artist making a mistake, says Florian.
“I believe we’re all artisans and very capable of moulding ourselves. However, following one method throughout is the key to creating any look. Not following a method to work with is one of the most important reasons for any artist to make a mistake towards their work,” he says.
He says this makes it challenging for an artist as well. “So this is where as an artist I get an opportunity to showcase my real creativity because I believe every work is a new challenge. Lately I have been working on a lot of magazine covers and brand shoots. I am keeping the looks minimalistic and chic,” he says.
Talking about his process of working, he adds, “I make an inspiration board with looks as per the brief before every project I do.”
