Both Tusshar Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat are making their web debut with ALT Balaji’s new show Boo – Sabki Phategi. It’s a horror comedy and believe it or not but the makers came up with title of the show in just few seconds. The show will have in total 8 episodes and Mallika will be essaying the role of the ghost. As for Tusshar, the actor will once again entertain the audience with his comic timing. But unlike his Golmaal character, this time the Kapoor lad will make you laugh with his dialogues. As Tusshar gets ready to enter the world of web, he talks us about his debut show Boo – Sabki Phategi and how it feels to team up with Mallika after 17 long years.

Debuting on digital platform with your own home production ALT Balaji, does it make your shoulders heavy with responsibility?

I don’t think so because they have made many web shows and I am sure the ALT app doesn’t depend on this one show. In fact, the responsibility is that it’s the first horror comedy online and so that should be the trump card when it comes to the show. It should be something that people eagerly wait for and then they enjoy it as well. So that’s the pressure we all have right now.It is my debut for web and I am nervous and excited at the same time. I want to debut in a good way.

Was it an easy choice for you to debut with this show as you have already worked with the entire cast in the past. Plus, it’s an Ekta Kapoor production.

No, I feel fortunate that Farhad Samji came and narrated the script to me as a film first. And what I was offered was a good script. That’s when I told why it can’t be made on the web because it is growing so much. Also, it became more exciting because we got Mallika Sherawat, Kiku, Krishna and Sanjay Mishra for the show and I have worked with all them in the past. So it’s going to be good fun, like party time.

You and Mallika had worked together 17 years back. So how’s the reunion like?

It doesn’t feel like we have disconnected and I have just worked with her for a day now and we kind of connected well from the very first time we met each other on set. For so many years, we didn’t even meet once but it didn’t feel like any disconnect with her. She’s very friendly and outgoing person and that helps. The last time we worked together and till now, there was a long gap. But I hope there are no more long gaps anymore. I hope that this series work so well that we have one more season after that.

Do you want to debut on Television too?

I have not been offered anything yet and I haven’t thought about as well.

You made people laugh by playing a mute character in the Golmaal franchise which is actually difficult. But now making people laugh with dialogues, will that be difficult for you?

Yes, it’s fully comedy via dialogues. I think people loved my character in Golmaal so much that it will be difficult for me to make them laugh. I want them to believe that even with dialogues I can do well and that will happen only with hard work. So more than difficulty, it’s about hard work. It’s with all the films that I will do, even if it’s not comedy and a serious one. I will have to work hard on making them believe in my character. Though I have done Shootout in Lokhandwala and Shor In The City but every time to get into new zone, we need to work hard on it and live up to the expectations.

With Ravie joining the family, how’s your son Laksshya reacting to it?

He’s excited and happy with the new member. Laksshya keeps on enquiring about Ravie and he is very curious about him. As Ravie is too small right now and Laksshya is two and half, I feel that once the baby starts crawling and is a little older, they both will bond very well.

Lastly, tell us what’s the USP of your show Boo- Sabki Phategi?

Its horror with comedy and the story line is the USP. I can’t really pin point one thing but I can say its Entertainment, Entertainment, and Entertainment!
