Hrithik wanted to feature in Mika’s single, but the singer also wanted Deepika

Mika Singh just announced his soon-to-be-released single in association with a music streaming platform. The single, Belly Ring, features Mika and a special appearance by legendary Jamaican singer Shaggy. The official video is due for release on the holy day of Baisakhi, i.e. April 13, but promos for the video have been popping up everywhere already. During a press conference for his single, Mika disclosed some funny moments that happened during the shoot.

The Punjabi singer, who is Daler Mehndi’s brother, has carved a niche of his own with his extremely popular hits backing him. His upcoming song’s video will feature the singer himself. However, when asked who he would have preferred to have been featured in the video, the singer immediately responded that his first choices were Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Mika also revealed that he had asked some celebrity friends to listen to Belly Ring and the response he got was overwhelming, to say the least. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor loved his new track. The response was so positive that Hrithik Roshan wanted to feature in the video, but due to unavailability of dates, he couldn’t. The overwhelmingly positive response has got us all excited and we’re anxiously waiting to see if Mika’s new single qualifies as the new anthem for the millennials.

Last we saw Mika being a good Samaritan when he offered actor-turned-watchman Savi Sidhu a role in his production film. Savi Sidhu’s story went viral last month when videos of the actor working as a security guard popped up on social media. The story touched Mika’s heart and he promised, on social media, to help Sidhu. And, of course, he kept his word. We wish Mika Singh all the best for his upcoming release.
