Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha in the Mungda song from Total Dhamaal

Total Dhamaal’s latest song – Mungda is out! Released by Akshay Kumar and featuring Sonakshi Sinha and Ajay Devgn, the song is a recreation of the hit Helen number Mungda from Inkar (1977). Akshay took to Twitter to share the song. And we must say that the upbeat tempo and the new look lends to a completely new feel and vibe. The song has been revamped completely. Neither the look nor the feel is reminiscent of the yesteryear hit dance number. The setting of the Helen song was in a bar, with the actress dressed in a desi avatar. Sonakshi’s song is a glitzy affair which will see her dazzle in a shimmery golden short number.

Looking ultra-glamorous, Sonakshi’s moves will have you grooving with her even. She is joined in by Ajay who tries to match his steps with his hot co-star. Sonakshi is making a special appearance in the film only with this dance number. And we must say she’s done the song full justice. The song is sung by Jyotica Tangri, Shaan, and Subhro Ganguly. It is re-arranged by Gourov-Roshin with additional lyrics penned by Kunwar Juneja. Sharing the song, Akshay tweeted, “When two of your favourites @sonakshisinha and @ajaydevgn come together to recreate your favourite song #Mungda, it is nothing less than #TotalDhamaal!” Check out the Total Dhamaal song Mungda right here!

Indra Kumar’s upcoming adventure comedy Total Dhamaal had earlier released the song Paisa Paisa that had Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anil Kapoor and rest of the cast dancing to the tunes of the recreated version of Rishi Kapoor’s hit number Paisa yeh Paisa from Karz. Produced by Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria, the film is set to release on February 22. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, this cross-cultural collaboration between the two immensely popular artists is indeed a big step in the global music industry. Guru Randhawa is known for dishing out hit party anthems like Lahore, High Rated Gabru and Suit Suit among others. But Randhawa isn’t the first Indian that Pitbull has joined hands with. The lyrics of Slowly Slowly are penned in English, Hindi, and Spanish, making it multilingual which is a first for an Indian artist for sure. Written and sung by Guru Randhawa and Pitbull, the music is composed by Dj Shadow, BlackOut, DJ Money Willz, and Vee Music.  The fusion dance track was shot in Pitbull’s hometown Maimi. The video features Guru Randhawa and Pitbull dancing to young and vibrant beats, giving us fresh and laidback Miami vibes.

Talking about the collaboration, Guru Randhawa said,“It is a dream come true moment. I always wanted to represent my village, my state and my country at an international level, this collaboration with Pitbull sir is one step towards that representation. I can’t thank Pitbull Sir and T-Series enough for all their support and love. We have worked hard on this single and I hope this will put Indian music on the world map.”

T-Series Mixtape Season 2: Salim Merchant and Jonita Gandhi’s latest mash-up will tap the right chords

The latest episode of Mixtape just released and it is a powerful melange of melody combined with two talented voices of Salim Merchant and Jonita Gandhi. In true Mixtape style, multiple talented instrumentalists were part of this melodic journey. The episode starts with a solo cello to set the mood of the song. Adding to the eccentric vibe, Salim and Jonita voices blend harmoniously and their chemistry on stage is a treat. In the video, they beautifully recreate two timeless songs Dil Mein Ho Tum from the movie Why Cheat India along with the record-breaking song Galliyan from Ek Villain.

Talking about a concept like MixTape Salim Merchant shared,I was a part of season 1 too and had no idea that it would receive such a tremendous response. I like properties like MixTape as it has created a different audience in itself. It allows us to express our music, vocals and represent the song in our own personality, which is really nice.”

Jonita Gandhi added, “This is feel-easy version. There are a lot of elements incorporated in terms of percussion, rhythm, strings. There is a cello solo in the beginning which is unique. We are going to be featuring amazing talent in terms of instrumentalists. This song has got a nice Bollywood feel to it which I like. Additionally, the song is very high. So finding the right key when more than one person is singing is a challenge. We had to find the key that suited Salim and me the best. Initially, it was a little tough for me to sing that high because I am not used to it anymore. If given an option I would prefer singing lower.”
