Yagya Bhasin’s comfort food is rajma chawal. The actor of Panga (2020) fame loves to gorge on homemade cakes, drinks and chocolate. He is a pure vegetarian. “I am a foodie. Every weekend or so, whenever I have some free time from studies and shoots I request mom to cook something tasty and healthy for me. I ask her to make cake, pizza, burger, rajma chawal, chole chawal, plain dahi, samosa, rasogolla, smoothie etc.I just love to eat,” says the 11-year-old. Before he sits down to eat, it’s a ritual in Yagya’s family to thank Almighty for the food on their plate and say a prayer.

“I like cooking and have learnt how to make roti and parantha. I can also make chai, bread pakoda and maggi very well. These days I have a little free time at hand so I keep trying to make new dishes with mom,” adds the actor, who has done the TV show Yeh Hai Chahatein.

The actor is particular about what he eats. “I avoid eating packed items, junk food and foods which are high on carbohydrates. Artificial sugar should be avoided and foods with natural sugars like dates, figs and fruits should be eaten,” he shares.

Yagya loves ghar ka khaana. “There is no alternative to home-cooked food. The taste and hygiene of home-cooked food is not there in outside food. Home cooked food is healthier. Only when we are outdoors at shoots where home cooked food is not available then only we order outside food or eat in hotels. I also eat outside food on occasions like birthdays, marriage parties… but then that too happens on rare occasions,” says the actor.
