Ever since the trailer of Amala Paul’s film Aadai dropped, it has been a topic of discussion amongst the audience. While many admired it, other people were offended by some scenes in the trailer. Now, the film has attracted a fresh controversy. The latest update is that the film’s morning shows were cancelled due to financial problems. But that is not it. A case has also been filed against the makers of the film.
A Chennai politician Priya Rajeshwari has complained that the nudity in the film will send out a wrong message to the youth and will encourage rape culture. Aadai was reportedly given an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The report also said that the distributors of Aadai did not release the print as some payments from the producers were yet to be settled, thereby causing cancellation of morning shows.
