Since morning everyone on Twitter has been talking about the viral video of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who is currently captive in Pakistan. The Indian Air Force pilot landed on the other side of the border after his aircraft was shot down during critical combat. While everyone thought Varthaman went missing, later it was the Pakistani army that informed he was in their custody. As soon as this new broke, “Bring Back Abhinandan” started trending on Twitter and soon many Bollywood celebrities also joined the movement on the popular micro blogging site.
Ranveer Singh took to Twitter and wrote, “Braveheart Wing Commander Abhinandan. India is with you.” Expressing her concern, Sushmita Sen tweeted, “We are all praying for the safe return of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman #IAF gratitude from the daughter of a retired Indian Airforce officer @fbhutto for choosing humanity first & a way to peace?? Dugga Dugga & God bless.” Arjun Kapoor, on the other hand, wrote, “My prayers with #wingcommanderabhinandan hope he is safe & we see him back on home soil very soon…”Farhan Akhtar, who will next be seen Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink also came forward and said on Twitter, “Thoughts with #WingCommanderAbhinandan and his family. Hoping for his early and safe return. #IndianAirForce.”

My thoughts are with the family and colleagues of #WingCommanderAbhinandan
Here's hoping he's back soon. And that our soldiers remain safe – because ultimately, it's their families that are affected and have to deal with the pain- the public moves on.— Gul Panag (@GulPanag) February 27, 2019
Apart from these celebs, many well-known personalities including Gul Panag, Raj Thackeray, and Ashok Pandit also tweeted about Abhinandan’s safe return. Just a while back, a new video surfaced on the internet wherein the Indian pilot is seen saying that the Pakistani army men are gentlemen and that he is being taken care of. This new video has also gone viral on the web. Though currently there is tension brewing India and Pakistan, let’s hope it doesn’t come in the way of saving Abhinandan Varthman’s life. Even we pray for his quick return to his home soil. For more updates and news, keep reading Cine Blitz.
