Aditya Pancholi rape case: The actor cancels press conferences, goes underground

Trouble came knocking at Aditya Pancholi’s door when an FIR against the actor-producer with charges of rape was filed on June 27. The 36-year-old complainant filed a case against Aditya at the Versova police station for an incident that occurred 10 years ago. The police registered a case under IPC section 376 but Pancholi is yet to be questioned for the same. Meanwhile, reports state that Aditya has gone underground and has cancelled two press conferences as well.

Many shocking revelations surfaced online post the FIR controversy. The victim was quoted saying that the 54-year-old actor sexually assaulted her and also used to beat her between 2004 and 2009. Aditya is also accused of keeping the woman confined in his house and demanding a huge amount of money. It was also revealed that Pancholi used to blackmail the woman as well.
