“Aditya’s intensity and flare were going to be a boon for Gumraah as it’s a thriller”, says director Vardhan Ketkar

Debutant director Vardhan Ketkar has been working round-the-clock to make Gumraah one of the best crime thrillers for audiences. Being an energetic personality on the sets, his hard work is already being appreciated with the positive response to the trailer of the film from the viewers. Gumraah being backed by blockbuster duo Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar, the film is already building a lot of anticipation amongst the fans for its release.

Speaking about the huge responsibility and how the co-stars made his job easier, Vardhan mentioned, “Directing Aditya was an exciting proposition, from the get-go, I knew that his intensity, flare and conviction towards the craft were going to be a boon for the film as it’s a thriller. I’ve always loved films with double roles or split personalities. So, when it came to the dual role, what I enjoyed the most was designing the distinct characteristics of the two characters.

He further added, “What surprised me the most was Aditya Roy Kapur’s in-depth study of the two different characters and his relentless effort to better every minute detail/ nuance of each character that made them stand apart. I’m sure you’ll enjoy and appreciate that in the film.

Gumraah features Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur, and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. The mystery of the murder is all set to unfold on the 7th of April, 2023. Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar the film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
