With MovieMax opening a multiplex with 7 screens in Hyderabad, the cinephiles in the city are in for a luxurious movie-watching experience. Actor Adivi Sesh who is riding high on the success of his Telugu film HIT 2, the sequel to HIT, was the Chief guest at the opening. The actor has given two back-to-back hits with Major being another film that was released in multiple languages this year.

The Hyderabad property will give audiences a premium viewing experience with advanced technology and an array of food and beverage options to make it a perfect outing with friends and families. MovieMax, a fast-expanding multiplex chain that is part of the Kanakia Group, was voted the 2022-2023 ‘Emerging Cinema Chain of the Year’ at the IMAX Big Cinema Awards in Chennai this year.

Actor Adivi Sesh who launched the property in Hyderabad said, “I am excited to be here. There is an emotional connection with the brand. Their Hyderabad property earlier was the place where I used to watch a lot of movies after moving here from the states. I would like to congratulate MovieMax as they were the ones who started the luxurious experience of watching films.”

The actor also spoke about how he was fascinated with films from a very young age. “At the age of 5, I was fascinated by Rambo and other Sylvester Stallone films. I grew up on Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan films. If not an actor, I would have done something related to cinema, maybe writing.”

On the success of Hit 2, the actor said, “you always want to do good work and it feels nice to see audiences liking your work. “We are the fastest-growing cinema chain in India. We have added 49 screens in the last 6 months and are looking at adding 38 more screens in the next 3 months. In terms of luxury, there are reclining seats in all our auditoriums here. There is a live kitchen so our F & B menu is not restricted to popcorn and samosas.” Said Kunal Sawhney, COO, MovieMax Cinemas.
