Rishi-Kapoor-on-cancer

Rishi Kapoor fans here in India have been totally missing the veteran actor since last September, and they have been extremely eager to know about his health. As we all know, the actor had flown to the United States for treatment back in 2018 and it has been almost 7 months since we haven’t heard about his whereabouts. Even though Neetu did post a few pictures of the recovering actor, his fans were only fully relieved when the news of him being cancer-free finally broke. CineBlitz exclusively broke this news, and now Rishi himself finally spoke about it. He revealed that he is yet to undergo a bone marrow transplant and will be in the States for at least another two months.

In an interview with a leading tabloid, Rishi said, “Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems.”

“My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all,” Rishi revealed about his treatment.

He also shared that the experience taught him the importance of patience. “A person like me who has never had patience, this is God’s way to teach me patience. Getting well is a slow procedure. But it makes you grateful for the gift of life,” he concluded. Well, that is surely good news! Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood.
