After Kabir Singh, is Shahid Kapoor scouting for another South super hit to remake?

Shahid Kapoor has reportedly shown interest in the Hindi remake of Telugu film Jersey. The rights of this hit film are jointly owned by Telugu producers Dil Raju and Allu Arvind.

Dil Raju has been wanting to do the remake of the film for a really long time – Dharma Productions and Madhu Mantena had shown interest to buy the remake rights of the film keeping Shahid Kapoor in mind. But the original rights holders have decided to make it and are also keen on Shahid Kapoor who has just given the super-hit Kabir Singh, based on the South super hit Arjun Reddy. So every filmmaker including Dil Raju and Allu Arvind are keen that Shahid Kapoor give the nod for the Jersey remake.

Jersey is the story of a middle-aged cricketer. After his career fails to take off, he has to give up on his dream. What follows, forms the rest of the story.
