While Shahid Kapoor – Kaira Advani’s Kabir Singh is winning the audience’s heart, director Sandeep Vanga Reddy is receiving a lot of backlash for his derogatory idea of love that he spoke about in an interview. Many Bollywood celebrities including Kubra Sait disregarded his statement and even south singers Samantha Akkineni and Chinmayi Sripaada slammed Sandeep for the controversy that he created. He faced backlash for promoting violence against women through Kabir Singh, now Lakshmi Manchu has joined the bandwagon calling Sandeep a sad director.
After reading a tweet posted by Mumbai based mythologist and author that said, “True lovers slap each other, according to Bollywood. But certainly not according to the Puranas.” Lakshmi took to Twitter and wrote, “Oh God not all of Bollywood. Just one sad filmmaker! Most of us believe in love, song, dance, and friendship in our movies. Keep these beautiful pictures coming.” Check out the tweet here:
