The latest name that has been added to the long list of debutants in Bollywood this year is that of South actress Keerthy Suresh. Yes, the Mahanati fame actress will be starring alongside Ajay Devgn in Amit Sharma’s next directorial venture which is yet to be titled. However, we do know that it’s a biopic which will be co-produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta.

In the film, Devgn will be seen reprising the role of Syed Abdul Rahim who was the coach of the Indian football team from 1950 to 1963. For a while now, rumours were doing the rounds that Keerthy was gearing up for her big Bollywood debut and now we have finally got a confirmation on the same. In fact, Janhvi Kapoor even congratulated her on Instagram for bagging the film. She shared a picture of Keerthy on her Insta story and wrote, “@keerthysureshofficial been obsessed with you since I saw Mahanati. So excited that you are a part of dads next film. Welcome.”

The untitled sports biopic will go on floors in June this year. Ritesh Shah, who wrote dialogues for Pink and Raid, has been roped in for this one as well. And Saiwyn Quadras will be writing the screenplay. He is the one who wrote screenplays for films like Mary Kom, Neerja and Parmanu. Coming back to Keerthy, she will next be seen in a Telugu movie which is directed by Narendranath. Recently, the 26-year-old was also in news for walking out of a Rajnikanth film which was to be directed by AR Murugadoss. The reason behind her leaving the project was her commitment in Bollywood.
