Actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who has acted in Guilty, Ray, and Monica, O My Darling, made a fun cameo in Vasan Bala’s action-packed prison drama Jigra. After their previous collaborations on Monica, O My Darling and Ray, Akansha and Vasan teamed up once again, this time for a single but memorable scene. Vasan was keen to bring her on board for this brief appearance.
In the film, Akansha plays a quirky air hostess who adds a touch of lightness just when the story needs it. Dressed in a sharp uniform, she looks striking. Her scene with Alia Bhatt, where she serves food to Alia’s character, has become a standout moment. Alia’s exaggerated, aggressive eating has even sparked a wave of memes online, making this brief scene a major highlight of the film.
Speaking about her experience, Akansha shared, “I had an absolute blast working with Vasan Sir again. Whenever he calls me, it’s a no-brainer for me to say yes, and it was the same with Jigra. I remember he called me one fine day and told me that I had a one-day shoot, and I immediately signed up for it. He’s always been a guiding force in my career. The fact that this short scene is getting so much love from the audience, and that people are tagging me everywhere, feels amazing.”
Up next, Akansha is preparing for her South Indian debut in MaayaOne alongside Sundeep Kishan.
