While the entire area has been given a festive look, the Ambanis are keen to not make the entire wedding a flashy affair given the current scenario of the country. The who’s-who of the country are expected at the wedding and naturally it is one of the grandest weddings of the season. So, while not cutting down on the extravaganzas, there are noble plans to include the defence personnel, the police, fire brigade and the security bodies and their families as part of the post wedding celebrations. The Baarat will start at four in the evening today and will proceed to the wedding venue. The Ambanis are making sure that the baarat not spill much in the public domain and so will be limited to the closer areas of the venue. About the décor, sources tell us that the place has been done up in a completely Indian traditional style. High on traditional motifs, the décor is flower-based. There are giant structures of horses, elephants, peacocks been created out of flowers. While elephants are made of green flowers, the horses are of white flowers. “Overall, the look is extremely traditional, classy and colourful,” says the source.

The Ambanis have also planned special water-fountain music and dance shows for the families of the defence personnel that are most likely to take place on March 12 at the recently inaugurated Dhirubhai Ambani Square, Jio World Centre at BKC, Bandra. We had also earlier told you about how the families will be treated to the never-seen-before dance and music performances depicting Krishna’s Ras Leela tomorrow (March 10) as the Ambanis will pay obeisance to Lord Krishna and seek blessings for the newly-weds.
