Akshay Kumar is wondering why we don’t see multistarrers like there used to be in the 90’s. When asked about Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh’s role in Sooryavanshi, the actor was quick to reply and say that it is just a cameo. The actor while clarifying that the other actors are only doing a guest appearance did not hesitate to inform the media why two actors don’t want to work with each other. He said, “They are all doing cameos in Sooryavanshi. But there still isn’t a film like maybe an Amar Akbar Anthony. Pehle banti thi, I have done such films with actors like Suniel Shetty, Saif Ali Khan and others. Ab, I don’t know why we don’t do it anymore. People don’t want to work with another actor anymore.”

Well, the real reason is the fee that a leading actor charges today. Anything from 20 crore to 50 crore from a film’s budget goes to the lead star. At these values, it’s pretty much impossible to cast three actors in a film. Financially it is not viable. That’s the plain unvarnished truth why you’re unlikely to see multistarrers anytime soon. Arunabh Kumar, Bhutan Bam and Prajakta Kohli join hands to serve Corona affected daily wagers

They start an initiative #CreatorsforWorkers for daily wage earners during Corona.

As India continues to follow the lockdown due to coronavirus, many celebrities have reached forward to all the daily wage earners by helping them in any way that they can.

And amongst the people who have stood up to help is Arunabh Kumar, the founder of The Viral Fever (TVF) and a pioneer for online content who has started an initiative #CreatorsForWorkers along with fellow New Media Entrepreneurs like Gurpreet Singh, Founder of One Digital and other top creators to help the blue-collar workers during this lockdown period and the fight after. He along with his Foundation, have come up with an innovative technique to reach out to the nationwide workers and explain them good habits using, what he knows best, viral content.

Talking about this initiative and why he felt it was necessary to be done for the daily wage earners, Arunabh said, “Everyone is doing their best to help those in need by providing monetary help or donating medical help and other necessities to the underprivileged. After working with local groups to help these workers, I realized, that the workers, who are lifelines of India, need to be made aware of the pandemic in a more effective fashion. While all of us are sharing message in English & Hindi, its not reaching to these workers in their own local or regional language, and a lot is lost in translation. We saw it necessary that the information needs to reach them in their local language and dialect. That’s the insight that I along with my Creator Friends believe in and want to reach out to them using Whatsapp, so that they understand the problem as over 70 Crore Indians connected to workers are critical in fighting this war against Corona and for that they need to have the information they can appreciate, which we have tried to spread amongst all.”

Bhuvan Bam said, “It’s an idea which can actually help the people who have no presence on social media. Explaining them the seriousness of the situation in their own language will hopefully make things better for their family and friends.”

Prajakta Koli, (AKA MostlySane) said that, the thousands of housemaids in Mumbai can understand the habits to fight Corona in their local lingo much better and she believes change has to begin at grassroots.

The initiative will include loved content creators from across the country who will shoot a video in their native language explaining all the instructions that need to be followed by everyone in this time of need. Creators like Bhuvan Bam (BB KiVInes), BeYouNick, MostlySane(Prajakt Kohli), Lalit Shokeen, Neetu Chandra, Sanjay Mishra, Nidhi Bisht, RJ Abhilash, MAanvi Gagroo and many more have shown support for this initiative.

#CreatorsForWorkers will see all the loved celebrities coming together to help the daily wage workers through these videos.

The actor will soon be seen in Netflix film Extraction that was shot in India

As he comes off bagging Rashmi Rocket, backed by RSVP, Priyanshu Painyuli is gearing up for his big release this month. The actor will soon be seen  in Netflix film Extraction that was shot in India through the later half of 2019. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani, David Harbor, the film also has Indian faces Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda and  Priyanshu.

The film was earlier titled Dhaka, is produced by by Russo brothers and directed by Sam Hargrave. As the title suggests, the film is a kidnap extraction drama that has Hemsworth play a mercenary, Rake, who is hired to rescue the son of a businessman.

Needless to say, the actor is thrilled to be part of an international film of this scale. This is Priyanshu’s breakthrough role in an international movie. With the film boasting of high production values and great content, it was a thoroughly enriching experience for the actor who plays a meaty part and a character that one won’t easily relate with his affable image. In a bid to show his versatility, the actor took up the part and transformed himself completely.

Speaking about his role, the actor says, “It’s a very interesting story, I am playing a very special role, in a surprise package. I eagerly waiting to see myself, I haven’t done anything like this before. I can’t wait for people to watch this film. It’s an experience I will always cherish. My biggest takeaway from this was the discipline of it. Everyone was so well-prepped and so thorough with their scenes. The research is so well-rounded that there’s zero scope for errors when the actor is in front of the camera. Everything is already on the storyboard, discussed and vetted, before the scene. I have been able to inculcate a more methodical approach to work.”

Of course, the actor can’t reveal about his part but he does add that the Thor star, is a delight to be around. He goes on, “When you work with someone like him, you realise the value of being grounded.  He is warm and kind as a colleague. He had this incredible zest to learn more and do better and the fact that the team made me so comfortable that I wanted to give my best.”
