Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha kickstart Section 375 and we can’t keep calm- view pics

T-Series and Panorama Studios have come together again to produce their next film, titled
Section 375. The last produced film by them was Raid which did well with the Box- Office
numbers. The new film went on floors today, and it stars Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha in
the lead roles along with Rahul Bhat who plays a key role. The film is directed by Ajay Bahl who
last directed B.A.Pass in 2012. As the title suggests, the film will speak about the particular
section as defined in the Indian Penal Code. Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha play lawyers in
this drama, fighting on opposite sides of the case.

This year, Akshaye Khanna was part of the film The Accidental Prime Minister where he played
the role of writer Sanjay Baru (on whose book the film was based), but the film didn’t live up to
expectations. It will be interesting to see Akshaye and Richa playing the character of lawyers.
Section 375 of Indian Penal Code defines rape as ‘sexual intercourse with a woman against her
will, without her consent.’

The topic chosen by the film is strong and it would be a great vehicle to convey a strong
message. This courtroom drama will make for a good watch if it is handled crisply and
intelligently. The discerning audience today has high expectations, and want to see good
content. According to the makers of the film, Section 375 will wrap up by the end of February.
