TV star and comedian Ali Asgar – who we all know as Daadi from Comedy Nights With Kapil – met with a car accident yesterday (March 11). A car rammed into his car, while he was waiting at the Crawford Market signal. Fortunately, Ali did not suffer any injuries, although his car has been badly damaged. Talking to us exclusively, Ali narrated what exactly happened. He said, “The car is in a very bad shape. It was banged from behind when I was waiting at the signal. The impact was so huge that my car’s bonnet bumped into the truck. Fortunately, I didn’t suffer any injury, but I was shaken badly. Thank God, I was wearing a seat belt. It felt like a formula one car banged into me, and my car’s dikki is completely damaged. In fact, my car looks like a dikki right now (laughs).”
Well, we are just glad that the actor is safe, in spite of the rather unfortunate incident. He further added, “Thank God nobody was crossing the road, if there would have been anyone, the person would have been badly injured too. Luckily, the cops were there, who handled everything well. My face is known, so even if a little thing happens crowd gathers, so it was getting very difficult, that is where the cops helped and everything got solved amicably.” Ali Asgar took to Twitter yesterday thanking the police, check out his tweet here:

Thanking the cops, Ali told us that, “I felt like thanking the cops because we don’t get a chance to thank them. There are so many times they help us, we all are safe because of them, and this is the time to thank them.” On the work front, Ali was last seen in Kanpur Waale Khurranas which didn’t fare very well on the tube. While Ali is terribly missed for his character on The Kapil Sharma Show, we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next. Watch this space for more!
