Everyone including us is eagerly waiting for Abhishek Varman’s directorial venture Kalank to hit the theatres. The buzz around the film went up a notch higher after the makers released its magnificent teaser and equally stunning trailer. Starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt in the lead, the film is a love saga set in the 1940s. While the magnum opus without a doubt looks promising courtesy its stellar star cast, the fans will also get to see Alia grooving with the dancing sensation Madhuri Dixit in the film. And that’s another reason why everyone is super excited about Kalank.

However, it wasn’t easy for Ms Bhatt to match steps with our very own dhak dhak girl and that’s quite understandable. After all, Madhuri is known as Bollywood’s dancing diva for a reason, right? While talking about her experience of dancing with Mrs Nene, Alia said, “It wasn’t easy to dance in front of Madhuri Dixit, it was difficult and I will always remember that. I feel I have grown old doing that dance (smiling) and thinking about it all the time. There was a time when I was walking and doing the hook step all the time and even my friends thought that I have gone mad. All I wanted is that I have to look different, not best but different in terms of all that I have done until now different from that.”

The talented actress further added, “The choreography that I learnt from Remo Dsouza, I have done it for two and half months continuously. First, I thought I will do it for a week or so, but it went for more than 2 months. I had a kathak teacher who has taught me basics for a year and then I just did this choreography. Then for two days, I went to Birju Maharaj to learn expressions and how to get innocence on the face and the correct expressions for each line.”

Well, it’s pretty clear that Alia has put in a lot of efforts for this film and we are sure it will pay off eventually. Don’t you guys agree? Comment below and let us know! For more such updates and latest Bollywood news, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
