It was just a few days ago on Sunday (June 9) when Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was hacked by a pro-Pakistan Turkish hacking group called Ayyildiz Tim followed by Adnan Sami’s account also being hacked by the same group. The hackers posted offensive posts on both the accounts and even replaced Amitabh Bachchan’s profile picture with a picture of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan. But it did make people wonder why this group targeted Amitabh and Adnan and how did they get into their accounts!
Well, it is being said that previously this group had hacked Anupam Kher’s account as well. It was then discovered that Kher received a DM from the account of Swapan Das Gupta which they had already hacked. When Kher clicked on the DM, his account was compromised too as the link had a virus that activated and yielded sensitive details like passwords. Police are now investigating to check if Bachchan or Sami also clicked on such a phishing link.
Talking about why they hacked their account, well that’s because both AB and Adnan have a huge fan following. This hacker team usually hacks into networks that will get widespread media publicity following which they can put out a message or to get back at someone.
Previously, this group had even hacked Shahid Kapoor’s Twitter and Instagram account during the release of Padmaavat. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such news and updates.
