Other than being a role model for many actors, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is also the perfect citizen everyone should take a cue from. Yes, Big B has become the highest income tax payer this year. The legendary actor paid a whooping Rs 70 crore as tax to the government for the financial year 2018-19. You read it right! this amount has made Big B the highest tax payer from B-town this year. Read on to know more about the same.
April marks the beginning of the new financial year and while many of us love to know who paid how much from Bollywood. The amount was confirmed by a spokesperson, who said, “Yes Mr. Bachchan has paid Rs 70 crore as tax for the financial year 2018-19.” Last year Big B has done a lot of charity. Making a very commendable move, he paid the loans of 2084 farmers from Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Also, recently he donated Rs 10 lakh each to the families of soldiers who lost their lives in the deadly Pulwama attack that happened in February.
On the work front, Big B was seen in two films including Badla, directed by Sujoy Ghosh alongside Taapsee Pannu and Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Badla emerged to be a hit at the Indian Box Office. The superstar will be next seen in Brahmastra, which is been directed by Ayan Mukerji, it also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. There is also Jhund which he has completed shooting and is on the post-production stage. Big B is also going to make ins South film debut soon.
